Itty Bitty Cards, Big Birthday Wishes!

Sometimes the tiniest projects are the cutest, and these little birthday cards are no exception! I had so much fun creating these sweet little cuties using some of my favorite goodies from Taylored Expressions.

I mean, seriously…how can you resist anything this teeny tiny?!

For these cards, I decided to go with a bright and cheerful color combination of pink, hot pink, yellow and green. I love how these colors look together, especially with those adorable polka dots!

Let’s Talk About Those Tiny Cards!

I started with the Teeny Cards Die Set from Taylored Expressions to create the adorable little scalloped card bases. Those scalloped edges add so much sweetness to these cards before you even start decorating!

Next, I used the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder to add texture to the white panels. I love using embossing folders because they add just the right amount of detail without taking attention away from the main design. Those little raised dots are the perfect background for these birthday cuties.

A Little Polka Dot Fun!

I wanted to add some playful patterns to my die cuts, so I pulled out the Mini Slim line Stencil – On the Dot.

Using a darker shade of pink, I added polka dots to the balloon, birthday present, and party hat. It’s such a simple detail, but it really makes the little die cuts pop!

And let’s face it… polka dots just make everything happier!

The Cutest Little Birthday Dies!

The stars of these cards are definitely the adorable die cuts from the Little Bits Birthday Bundle.

I created four different birthday designs:

  • Balloon: A sweet pink polka-dot balloon with a bright pink string, tiny flower, and green leaf.
  • Birthday Present: A pink polka-dot gift with a hot pink ribbon and a pretty yellow flower
  • Party Hat: A playful pink polka-dot party hat with bright pink trim and a little floral accent.
  • Cupcake: A yummy looking cupcake with pink frosting, a hot pink wrapper, and tiny yellow sprinkles.

Each one has its own little personality, and I honestly can’t decide which is my favorite!

Don’t Forget the Flowers!

Of course, I couldn’t leave these little cards without adding a few flowers!

I used the How Does Your Garden Grow Die Set to create the sweet yellow flowers and green leaves. I just love how those tiny pops of yellow and green brighten up all that pink!

I also added a little pearl embellishment to the flower centers and a few other spots for an extra touch of sweetness.

It’s amazing how something so small can make such a big difference!

Putting It All Together

Once all my little pieces were ready, I arranged the birthday images on the embossed white panels and layered everything on the scalloped card bases.

I love the dimension created by the different layers of cardstock, the embossed dots, and all those tiny embellishments.

I kept the backgrounds white so the bright colors and playful patterns could really shine.

And the best part? These little cards are a wonderful way to use up those scraps of cardstock that we all have tucked away in our craft rooms. You know the ones… all of us have them!

Tiny Cards, Lots of Possibilities!

These little birthday cards would be adorable tucked inside a gift bag, attached to a wrapped present, or given along with a small birthday treat.

They’re also perfect for making a little stash of birthday cards to have on hand whenever you need one.

I had such a fun time putting these together, and I love how each one turned out. Sometimes it’s nice to make something small, colorful, and just plain FUN!

Because sometimes the smallest creations bring the biggest smiles!

Thank you for stopping by my crafty friends.
