Let me tell you a few things about myself. I love stamping and die cutting anything floral. I dislike water coloring and coloring with any type of markers. It takes talent and a lot of patience, which I don’t have. Then came along Taylored Espressions’ mini slimline stencils. What a gamechanger for me. I took a 5.75″ X 9.75″ Neenah Smooth Cardstock and started blending away with some of my favorite colors from Stampin Up! I was amazed at how easy it was. They are numbered in the lower right corner and very easy to line up. After everything was inked up, I took the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and die cut the panels. When I purchased the stencils, I also grabbed the Signature Sentiments. They are the perfect addition to these mini slimline stencils. Voila, you have three beautiful cards after you adhere them to a base of solid cardstock that measures 6″ X 7″, scored at 3 1/2″. I prefer to have white cardstock inside for me to write my message. I cut another white piece of cardstock with the Stitiched Rectangle Stackets and adhered it to the inside of the card. The basic supplies are listed below. Pumpkin Cake Pop & Lollipop Holder
Hello crafty friends! This Thanksgiving will not be as traditional as the years before, so why should your Thanksgiving decorations be any different? I am absolutely in love with blue pumpkins this year. I am using a die from My Creative Time. These dies are so cute and easy to use. Once you use these lollipop dies, you will be hooked. I am! I cut the pumpkin lollipop die out of Balmy Blue cardstock from Stampin Up. I decided to do some ink blending with Salty Ocean Distress Ink on all the edges. It just adds a little dimension to the pumpkin. I used silver glitter cardstock for the leaf and stem. Then tied the cake pop in the holder with silver cord. I just love how it turned out. Very simple and elegant. Great way to decorate your place settings on Thanksgiving day. If you are more traditional, I have you covered. These were made using Pumpkin Pie cardstock from Stampin Up, ink blended with Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink and tied with jute. Thank you for stopping by today. I Want To Be Where The People Are!
I WANT TO BE WHERE THE PEOPLE ARE! The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney movie. I feel like this song sums up my feelings on how this year has been. I want to be where the people are I want to see want to see ‘em dancin’ Walkin’ around on those (Whad’ya call ‘em?) oh-feet…. Here is a step by step look on how I made this card. First I die cut the Puffy Cloud Backdrop from Lawn Fawn. Then I used Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Ink to color the background. I stamped the mermaid’s tail and shells from Essentials By Ellen in Momento Ink. I used Stampin’ Blends and Copic markers to color the images. To finish, I added a little bit of Wink Of Stella to the tails for some sparkle. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Back to School
Hello crafty friends! Here in Florida it is time for all our kids to head back to school. Teachers are amazing and they needed to be appreciated every day, not just Teacher Appreciation Day. After a few days in the classroom, they may need a little caffeine to put some pep back into their step. I am using the Go-To Gift Card Holder: Pencil Die Collection to make adorable gift card holder. I love gift card holder dies. I am not going to lie, I am obsessed with them. I cut the pencil base first. Then, I started layering away. I went with a more traditional pencil. The majority of cardstock was from Stampin Up! The colors I used were: Crumb Cake (base) So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo and Black. I prefer for my gift card holders to be sturdy, so I used 120 lb cardstock for the insert. Of course I added some glitter cardstock to make it sparkle. The basic supplies are listed below.
